"Smart Paper?"

Link to Gizmodo.

That was Cat's reaction. And essentially…yes. Which means I must write faster because every single damn day the future catches up to me a little more.

A solution to a problem I hadn't considered.

Combine a dehumidifier and a water purifier and you've got a solution to where drinking water comes from in the majority of DBM's world. Now I'm armed in case somebody asks me.

Lord knows I've gotten weirder questions.

And how do implants and Heavy Tech work?

Prospective DBMers ask me:

"Dude, are you aware your fly is open?"

Then after an awkward moment and a zip up, they ask me:

"What the hell is Heavy Tech, anyway?"

Well, one way to think about it is to be able to handle a lot more variables. A lot more.

Wireless networking in the Atlantic Union

Engadget has just posted a bit about the new wireless networking standard, 802.11s, the nature of which is exactly how the networking in the Atlantic Union (and elsewhere) works in DBM.

There's something just terribly unnerving and cool about seeing this bit of a SF story you're working on suddenly announced for 2008.

Widge and his truest friend

This is me.

No, really.

I am a writer, poet, spoken word performer, actor, singer, improviser, content creation and idea machine, freelance iconoclast, and the internet's janitor that dispenses pop culture wisdom to the protagonist of your choice. I have seen too many movies, read too many comic books, and when the zombies finally come, I'm the one you want to call. I sure as hell won't answer the phone, but it's the thought that counts. I advise people on the net, websites and technology, because I know these things instead of having a life or sleeping.

If you like something I've done, donate to the Widge Wants to Kill His Day Job Fund. Or if you'd like to hire me for a job, my rates are terribly reasonable. We thank you.
