This just begs for abuse.

The Chalk Mug.

You could ask Dindrane nicely to tell you filthy things to scrawl on it in Latin.

You could walk around the office with "FNORD" or "FHTAGN" scrawled on it and see who catches it first.

You could draw a chalk outline of your favorite cartoon character.

You could sit in a meeting and every time a particular person says something, just glare at them and make a new ticky mark on the mug–just to unnerve them.

Or more meeting fun…play tic tac toe on it to pass the time. Or Hangman, even.

The possibilities are endless, really.

Experiments in 120+ BPM Land.

So I'm not sure how well this is going to work, but hey, I'll try anything once.

I keep seeing that 120+ BPM music automatically jacks up your awareness and adrenaline, so I'm doing the following:

1. Assigning BPM to my MP3s by using MixMeister's free analyzer.

2. Creating a new Smart Playlist in iTunes that has 120+ BPM music.

We'll see how well it works. All I can say is that it needs some tweaking. Some songs you wouldn't think would qualify actually do. Going from Ministry to the Chiffons is a real moodshifter, for example.

Widge and his truest friend

This is me.

No, really.

I am a writer, poet, spoken word performer, actor, singer, improviser, content creation and idea machine, freelance iconoclast, and the internet's janitor that dispenses pop culture wisdom to the protagonist of your choice. I have seen too many movies, read too many comic books, and when the zombies finally come, I'm the one you want to call. I sure as hell won't answer the phone, but it's the thought that counts. I advise people on the net, websites and technology, because I know these things instead of having a life or sleeping.

If you like something I've done, donate to the Widge Wants to Kill His Day Job Fund. Or if you'd like to hire me for a job, my rates are terribly reasonable. We thank you.
