What it's going to take me several dozen novels, short stories and screenplays to work through, Key 23's post wraps up and puts a bow on it. The concept of "personal armageddon" is something I've dealt with, although I also like the idea of the "small apocalypse" turning out to have larger ripples in reality, which is best reflected in Alan Moore's From Hell IMO.
